Experience the magic of botanical alchemy with this hands-on ecoprinting workshop! Join me on August 17th from 11:00am - 2:00pm at Ingalls Forest in Tawas Michigan, to dive deep into the fusion of art and nature- learn to create your own botanically printed fiber art using real leaves + flowers from my dye garden.
This workshop will cover basic ecoprinting fundamentals, from preparation of the fabric, plant selection, design techniques, and processing prints. Each participant will take home 2 silk scarves (one square- 22 × 22”, one rectangle- 8 × 54”). We will focus on using tried and true dye flowers that are easy to grow in your own garden in our climate, as well as abundant native leaves that are easy to find and identify.
Workshop will be held rain or shine at the pavilion at Ingalls Forest just outside of Tawas Michigan (directions will be sent after booking). Herbal iced tea and light snacks provided.
