Balsam Fir Facial Serum

A deeply nourishing yet light serum. Balsam fir resin is combined with Perilla oil infused with wildharvested usnea, sweet fern, rose, yarrow and organically grown calendula from our apothecary garden. The resin content in this serum makes it feel a bit heavy when you first apply it, but the Perilla oil is very light and will absorb into your skin after several minutes. Ideal for the colder seasons in this hemisphere where exposure to cold and dry air can compromise skin’s protective barrier.

Serums are highly concentrated products, so you will only need a few drops applied to moist skin (ideally after using a facial mist to dampen skin so that the few drops of the product can smoothly glide over your skin. If your skin feels oily after using a serum, you are probably using too much or not applying it to adequately moistened skin. 

Balsam Fir resin is comprised of many terpenes, including alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, limonene, beta-phellandrene, myrcene, gerinol and citronellol to name a few. Its medicinal values come from this terpene content. Balsam fir resin is antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral.

Ingredients: perilla ocymoides (Perilla) seed oil with wildcrafted usnea, sweet fern, rose, yarrow, garden grown calendula, wildcrafted balsam fir resin, elderberry extract, copaifera officinalis ( copaiba) oil.
